Hi, I'm Laura

I built my first website in 2007, at my kitchen table, with two small children and a very expensive copy of Dreamweaver. I taught myself every line of code one evening at a time, and I've been hooked ever since.

Over the years I built my own online businesses: shops, directories, membership sites and a garden and outdoor living magazine that grew to thousands of visitors a month through Google. There was never a big budget behind any of them, so I learned to make every page and every pound work hard: SEO, branding, email marketing, and connecting tools so they do the work for you.

I'm a quiet problem solver at heart. Give me a messy setup or a tricky idea and I'll happily dig in until it works. That's also why my business stayed small for so long: I was busy building rather than showing off what I'd built. The Digital Day Dream is me finally putting that experience to work for other businesses.

Why I'm excited about AI

I've embraced AI automation in my own business, and it has changed how I work. The assistant on this website is one I built myself. It answers questions and passes enquiries to me while I get on with other work. Most small business owners I speak to know AI could help but don't know where to start. I'd love to show them, in plain English and without the hype.

Why I stay after launch

I once lost one of my own websites when the hosting lapsed and the files were deleted, with no backup. Years of work, gone. That's why I never build something and walk away. Renewals, backups, security and updates should always be in someone's hands, so they don't have to be in yours.

How I can help

You deal with me from the first call to launch and beyond, with no handoffs and no jargon. Most of my work happens by phone, Zoom and email, and I'll visit when it helps.

Based in Lymington

We came to Lymington on holiday about nine years ago and never left. My children sail, and we love living between the sea and the forest. I work with businesses across the New Forest, Hampshire and Dorset, and further afield.
